When a donation is made, we send a thank you to the donor and a beautiful tribute card to the person in whose name you have made the donation or to their family. The acknowledgement cards feature the unique fused glass panels of the Twelve Tribes sculpture in the synagogue lobby. Your contribution will also be acknowledged in The Shofar, Tifereth Israel Synagogue's monthly newsletter.

You can add meaning to your gift with the choice of any of Tifereth Israel Synagogue's Special Funds
- General Fund: Provides operating funds for the congregation and its services and programs.
- Adult Education Fund: Helps fund classes, programs, and seminars sponsored by the Tifereth Israel Rabbi Aaron S. Gold Institute of Adult Jewish Studies.
- Braun Library Fund: Provides for the acquisition of books, periodicals, supplies, and other necessities for the Tifereth Israel Braun Library.
- Men's Club Fund: Supports the Tifereth Israel Men's Club and its programs for members and the congregation.
- Minyan Fund: Sustains the Tifereth Israel Daily Minyan and aids the Minyan in performing acts of tzedakah.
- Playground Fund: Insures the upkeep and repair of the Tifereth Israel playground and Shekhter Family Gan Yeladim (Children's Park).
- Prayer Book and Sanctuary Fund: Assists Tifereth Israel in purchasing new siddurim (prayer books) and chumashim (Five Books of Moses). This fund also helps the congregation keep its Torah Scrolls in good repair and to acquire other necessities to enhance the congregation's worship experience.
- Rabbi Mathew Marko's Discretionary Fund: Helps Rabbi Marko provide tzedakah (financial assistance) to deserving individuals, institutions, and causes.
- Sisterhood: Supports Sisterhood in its endeavor to assist the Preschool, Torah School, Youth, the Synagogue and other agencies in need.
- Tzedakah Fund: Provides interest-free emergency loans to Tifereth Israel families in need.
- Jewish Music Fund: Money from this fund is used towards engaging the services of a cantor and for programs that involve Jewish music that are focused on spirituality and/or prayer.
Tifereth Israel Silverman Preschool Funds
- Silverman Preschool Scholarship Fund: Provides scholarships to deserving children attending the Tifereth Israel Silverman Preschool.
- Silverman Preschool Special Event Fund: Sponsors special events, activities, trips, and programs for students attending the Tifereth Israel Silverman Preschool.
Tifereth Israel Abraham Ratner Torah School Funds
- Abraham Ratner Torah School Scholarship Fund: Provides scholarships to deserving children attending the Tifereth Israel Abraham Ratner Torah School.
- Abraham Ratner Torah School Special Event Fund: Sponsors special events, activities, trips, and programs for students attending the Tifereth Israel Abraham Ratner Torah School.
Tifereth Israel Youth Funds
- Youth Fund: Supports Tifereth Israel United Synagogue Youth (USY) programs.
- USY Scholarship Fund: Provides scholarships for Tifereth Israel USY'ers to attend local, regional, and national events.
Tifereth Israel Summer Campership and Israel Scholarship Funds
- Camp Ramah Campership Fund: Provides camperships for children and youth attending Camp Ramah in Ojai, California.
- Israel Scholarship Fund: Provides scholarships for children and youth traveling to Israel on recognized travel/study programs.
- Nathan and Molly Prager Camp Scholarship Fund: Provides scholarships for deserving children to participate in a variety of Jewish summer activities. This fund was established in memory of Nathan and Molly Prager, z"l.
Tifereth Israel Endowment Funds
Gifts made to our Endowment Funds are held by the Jewish Community Foundation and are preserved in perpetuity. The proceeds from the investments will benefit Tifereth Israel Synagogue for generations to come. Proceeds from these funds are used by the congregation as designated below.
- Tifereth Israel Endowment Fund: This was the congregation's first Endowment Fund. Proceeds support the Tifereth Israel General Fund.
- Sandra Bernstein Endowment Fund: Supports the Tifereth Israel General Fund. This fund was established in memory of Sandra Bernstein, z"l.
- Abraham and Anne Ratner Torah School and Preschool Scholarship Fund: Provides scholarships for deserving children to attend the Tifereth Israel Abraham Ratner Torah School. This fund was established by Anne Ratner.
- Hal and Helen Cohen Endowment Fund: Provides an annual scholarship for children and youth traveling to Israel on recognized travel/study programs and supports the Tifereth Israel General Fund. This fund was established in memory of Hal and Helen Cohen, z"l.
- Gabriella Hartstein Auspitz Labson Endowment Fund: Annually awards a "Sam and Gabriella Labson and Stanley Auspitz Scholarship" for a nationally recognized travel/study program, a "Gabriella Hartstein Auspitz Camp Ramah Scholarship" for attendance at Camp Ramah, and supports the General Fund.
- Ginsburg Family Endowment Fund: Provides scholarships to deserving children attending the Tifereth Israel Silverman Preschool and Ratner Torah School and supports the Tifereth Israel General Fund. This fund was established in memory of Arthur and Ruth Ginsburg, z"l.
- Strum Endowment Fund: Provides an annual scholarship for children and youth traveling to Israel on recognized travel/study programs and supports the Tifereth Israel General Fund. This fund was established by Joseph and Ellen Strum, z"l.
- Helen Orin Endowment Fund: Supports the Tifereth Israel General Fund. This fund was established in memory of Helen Orin, z"l.
- Rabbi Aaron S. & Jeanne Gold Endowment Fund: Provides an annual scholarship for children and youth traveling to Israel on recognized travel/study programs and supports the Tifereth Israel Rabbi Aaron S. Gold Institute of Adult Jewish Studies and General Fund. This fund was established by Jeanne Gold in memory of Rabbi Aaron S. Gold, z"l.
