May the Lord comfort and sustain all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Tifereth Israel Synagogue mourns the loss of our loved ones… Your community is here for you in your time of need. We strive to create a ritual that best honors the generations of inherited tradition and the way that a person lived life.

When a death occurs, please call the synagogue at 619 697-6001, so that we may inform Rabbi Dorsch and assist you.

After business hours or on Shabbat and holidays: Call the synagogue number above, and press “2” for an emergency. After this you’ll press “3” for “an emergency requiring a Rabbi.”

Rabbi Dorsch will meet with the family ahead of the service to review the ritual and begin the process of mourning through the sharing of stories.
