Lead Shabbaton 2023
Friday, October 27th - Sunday, October 29th
USYers Grades 7 - 12

A collaboration event from CBI Tustin, HAMAKOM LA, Or Tzion and TBS-EV in AZ, for all leaders in the Far West. This is a co-chapter program to promote leadership in USY chapters across the Far West region.

We encourage all leaders from chapters, from those who hold board positions to those who are ready to lead in their communities. Registration will be $150 not including transportation. In the registration, there is an option to make an initial payment and a second payment for those who need to break it up or are applying for financial aid.

This weekend is for those leaders in 7th-12th grade. The weekend will be a host home experience, meaning the participants will be staying overnight at a congregant's home in a group, and the congregant will transport them to and from the shul throughout the weekend. Because of the home hospitality limitations, we will be limiting registration to 100 participants.

There will be a team led USY Style Shabbat service Friday evening, a congregational musical Shabbat service Saturday morning, optional Mincha services, and a creative Shacharit experience Sunday morning.

There will be sessions each day to connect the participants with new friends and leaders as well as workshops on leadership skills. These workshops will be led by USY Alumni and staff and will be both educational and engaging.

We would really love to see all leaders interested participate so please contact your USY director about financial assistance.

This is a treat for our kids to all get together, enjoy a Shabbat together, build friendships and connections, and to also enhance their leadership skills and understanding.
