Torah School Shabbat and Graduation
Saturday, May 13, 9:30 a.m.
Students in grades K – 2 will have a special program in the Goodman Chapel and later join the main service to share a performance that they will prepare. All of our Torah School families are invited to join us for Shabbat services. Students in grades 3 – 7 will participate in the Shabbat service and our 7th grade students will celebrate their Torah School graduation.
Following the service, everyone is invited to stay for a Kiddush Luncheon. This is also our regularly scheduled Midrash Shabbat Lunch & Learn. Our featured speaker is Tammy Gillies, Regional Director for the Anti-Defamation League’s San Diego office, will share The State of Antisemitism Globally and Locally. We’ll learn about what is happening locally, around the country, and what we can do to deal with it and combat it.
Child care will be available, for those younger than Torah School age, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Children will be brought to their families at the end of the service and will remain with them during the luncheon. Following the luncheon, children may go to our child care during the learning session. However, parents may wish to have their older children stay for the speaker.
We need to hear from you by Wednesday, May 10
Email us or call the office at 619 697-6001 and let us know if you’ll be joining us for the service and the luncheon.
