The Bible mentions many uses of music including songs of praise, songs of victory, songs of mourning, and above all the Psalms. In fact, some of the most legendary songs of the last sixty years have been influenced by the poetry and mythology of the Bible.
On this night, Cantor Hanan will help us dive into an exploration of how many of the greatest names in music have used biblical verse to express modern day feelings and emotions. Highlighted artists will include Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Simon and Garfunkel, and more.
