Congratulations to the Turchin family for opening the third One Earth Recycling venue at the Home Depot in Mission Valley at Fairmount and Mission Gorge.

We are fortunate that One Earth has extended the following offer to members and friends of Tifereth Israel Synagogue: mention Tifereth Israel and they will make a donation to the synagogue for every pound that you recycle. This offer applies to most items. One Earth will also give customers the option of donating any additional percentage of their recycling money to Tifereth Israel. Show your support for our congregation and our community by doing what’s right for the environment!

Recyclable materials include:

  • ELECTRONICS: including TVs, computers, monitors, VCRs… One Earth Recycling is part of a 3-generation, 30+ year old company that is among the pioneers of the electronic scrap industry in California and they guarantee identity security/data destruction in the case of data storage devices like hard drives and mobile phones. There is no charge for recycling electronics and 5¢ will be donated to TIS for every pound of electronics recycled through One Earth.
  • BOTTLES and CANS: plastic, aluminum, and glass, even wine bottles & food jars. One Earth Recycling pays for a wide range of bottles and cans, including plastic, aluminum, and glass containers, as well as NON-CRV containers like wine bottles, liquor bottles, and milk bottles when they’re mixed with CRV-qualifying material, as denoted by the mark CA REDEMPTION or CA CASH VALUE on the side of the package.
  • METALS: One Earth Recycling pays TOP DOLLAR for a wide range of scrap metals, from categories including copper, aluminum, brass, and stainless steel. (No appliances.)
