Mi Chamocha Painting Project
Wednesday, August 26th, 4:00 p.m.
Every morning we sing about God’s greatness and crossing the sea to freedom. Join us in painting a scene that can be used as a prop in the morning Prayer Refection, or anytime we’re singing together in great joy. It can also be a lovely display piece in your home.
No painting experience is required so don’t be intimidated. This event is open to all ages so feel free to involve your children and grandchildren.
There is no charge but your RSVP, by August 21st, will help us in planning.
Join us on Zoom. Meeting ID: 828 2088 4448 | Passcode: 914490
This is a recommended list of materials but use what you have, watercolor paper works fine and any type of brushes.
- Canvas: You can get together with friends and share, it’s more cost effective in bulk (Michaels has a 10 pack). Consider doing a family paint session so everyone gets to create their own! Click here for a link to canvases at Michaels.
- Paint Brushes: Click here to see paint brushes at Michaels.
- Acrylic Paints: Michaels has a variety of colors. Suggested colors include: Brown, White, Bright Blue, and Ocean Breeze are all lovely but any colors that speak out to you will work.
Add any details you would like to make it your own. Adding beach sand into the brown paint before it dries gives it a textured look. Hot gluing shells, or sea life stickers in the ocean, can add a pop. Be creative! If you need supplies let us know. Cailin is happy to get you what you need (including sand and shells) so you will not miss out on this fun relaxing session!
