TIS Town Hall Regarding High Holy Days
Thursday, July 30th, 7:00 p.m.
Please join us as we conclude the observance of Tisha B’Av, for an open and honest conversation about some of the challenging decisions we have made and some of the tough choices that we still have to make as we navigate moving forward together in anticipation of the High Holy Days. For many, the High Holy Days are a defining moment of our Jewish experience, yet due to Covid 19, they will need to look very different this coming year than in years past.
While we cannot rule out the possibility for smaller intimate in person outdoor gatherings at this time, all of our experiences this coming High Holy Day season will be virtual. We are in the process of upgrading our streaming capabilities and technologies so that we can optimize that experience.
As disappointing (and perhaps reassuring) as that may be for all of us, this is also an opportunity for us as a people, and as a community, to demonstrate our resilience and our creativity. Together we will explore new ways to experience the beauty and the richness that is the holiest time of the Jewish year; ensuring that we are able to connect with our faith, ourselves, and our community, in meaningful, fulfilling, and joyous ways.
Please email any questions, comments, and concerns to firstname.lastname@example.org, by noon, Thursday, July 30th, so we can try to be as responsive and as thoughtful as possible during the meeting.
While this High Holy Day season will be different than any we have ever experienced, it is certain to be one of the most memorable. The connection we feel, the passion and the love that we have for our community, our faith, and our traditions are stronger than they have ever been before. We are confident that the experience we create will be meaningful and fulfilling for those who engage with us.
