Our fur babies are unique, important, and cherished family members. Bring your pet (or a photo of your pet) to TIS to receive a special blessing. This event is taking place just as we lead up to the reading of Parashat Noach recalling the story of Noah and the Ark. Rabbi Josh will lead this fun and engaging opportunity.
Everyone is welcome to join us. Abraham Ratner Torah School students will also participate in this event.
Special Guests
Erin Riley-Carrasco, founder of ALMA (Animal Lives Matter Always) Rescue, will be joined by Rocky, her educational dog, who accompanies her when visiting schools throughout San Diego. Erin will share tips on responsible pet ownership, how to approach new animals, animal rescue, spay/neuter, and more.
Tim Mapes, owner of A Slobberin’ Pet Bakery & Gifts, will be on-hand giving us an opportunity to learn about (and purchase, if you wish) healthy treats for our pets. Tim can be found at a variety of local Farmer’s Markets with his products.
Lili Feingold will share lessons on Tzaar Baalei Chaim, the suffering of living creatures.
Please note all pets must be on a leash or in a cage / carrier, no exceptions.
