The Bar/Bat Mitzvah rehearsal is scheduled for the week before the actual event. At the rehearsal you will run through the full service and may also take family photos. The rehearsal is scheduled through the office, at a time that works for both you and the Rabbi.

The synagogue will appoint someone to check vaccination status for all guests.
We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the service begins. A final arrival time will be coordinated with the Rabbi in the weeks leading up to the Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
We encourage you to schedule a photographer for the rehearsal, as photographs cannot be taken on Shabbat. Our office staff will work with you to schedule the rehearsal and ensure you have enough time for photography.
It is typical to have the Bar/Bat Mitzvah do the full Kiddush at the Friday night service, however, you will need to confirm with the Rabbi.

If you would like there to be floral decorations on the bimah, you will need to arrange for the purchase and delivery of these items.
Yes! The binder is used for the speech and the haftarah, and the siddur for everything else. They are usually more comfortable with their own materials that can be labeled and tabbed rather than those in the synagogue. However, the synagogue's materials are always an option.
The Rabbi will provide some samples and outlines for a parent’s prayer. You will have the freedom to construct this as you would like for your special day.
