This year TIS will march in the annual San Diego Pride Parade. This is the largest single-day civic event in the region and is among the largest Prides in the United States, attracting over 200,000 people supporting the LGBTQ community. The event is free and open to the entire community.
Be Part of the TIS Marchers
An abbreviated and spirited Shabbat morning service will take place in a private home that is in walking distance of the parade. Anyone joining us in walking at the parade, representing TIS, is invited to join us. Once we are given our “step-off” time, we’ll let you know the time and location of the service. Shabbat services will still take place at TIS beginning at 9:30 a.m.
If you would like to join our TIS marchers, email Illana Levinson. You may also call the office at 619 697-6001. Michelle Barbour is leading our group. Marchers should bring plenty of sunscreen and water.
In preparation for the event, the July 9th Torah on Tap will focus the learning on Judaism and the LGBTQ community.
