Friday, July 26th, 6:15 p.m.
Join us at Lake Murray Community Park and enjoy celebrating Shabbat in the beautiful outdoor surroundings.
We’ll begin with a Kabbalat Shabbat service. Immediately following, everyone is encouraged to bring a dairy / pareve Shabbat Picnic Dinner. Don’t forget lawn chairs, blankets, and a jacket. Invite friends and family to join us. This is a casual, relaxed Shabbat experience.
Lake Murray Community Park is located at
7001 Murray Park Drive (between Golfcrest Drive and Madra Ave.)
Please note, this is NOT the location for Tashlich.
On this evening, no service will take place at Tifereth Israel Synagogue.
*Proneg (pre-oneg) 5:30 p.m. before Pray at the Park
Let’s start celebrating early. Join us prior to the service to schmooze and share some snacks and beverages. This is a great chance to hang out with Rabbi Dorsch before we begin our evening service.
If you know someone new to town, visiting, or simply looking for a congregation to call “home” be sure to bring them along.
Volunteer: It’s Good for the Heart
We could use a hand transporting items to the park. Email Beth or call her at 619 697-6001, ext. 108 for details.
Don’t forget to join us Friday, August 16th at 6:15 p.m. for our next Pray at the Park. A 5:30 p.m. “Proneg” will precede the service.
