Monday, August 5th, 8:30 a.m. (following minyan)
If you are like most people, the word meditation likely brings up two conflicting response. The first response is usually something like this: “Meditation is great,” “That’s wonderful that YOU meditate,” “I should do it but…” And here come the other responses: “I can’t sit still,” “My mind never stops,” “It’s too hard,” etc. Guess what? If you can breathe, you can meditate.
On the first Monday of each month, Shayna Kaufmann will lead a 30-minute meditation group immediately after minyan (around 8:30 a.m.) in the Ohel Aharon (main sanctuary). The session will include information on the basics of meditation, guided meditations, and also silent sitting (i.e., meditating).
All are welcome to come and encouraged to attend the 7:30 a.m. minyan beforehand. No meditation experience necessary.
