I am excited to be spending the High Holy Days with all of you. This year, I have the pleasure of chairing our Usher and Greeter Mitzvah Project and we could really use your help.
The entire congregation, collectively, appreciates our ushers’ and greeters’ efforts to make the High Holy Days a warm, welcoming, and spiritually meaningful experience at Tifereth Israel. Ushers/ greeters help everyone feel comfortable and perform an important mitzvah. They also help ensure that services run smoothly.
We need your help! For our five High Holy Day services, we have many time slots that need to be filled. Each slot is an hour long, and we have spaces available both inside and outside. Please, please join me as an usher and greeter. In any event, please remember that our ushers are volunteers and show your appreciation by being respectful to them.
If you are able to help us out and volunteer to take an usher and greeter shift, please let us know. You can click here to see each shift. To volunteer you may e-mail me at Lawrence.firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office at (619) 697-6001.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to be in touch! We will provide you with all of the guidance, assistance, and information that you will need.
I am really looking forward to personally wishing each of you and your families a L’shanah tovah during the holidays and thanking you for your assistance.
