What could be better than a night on the town? A night on the town with your gal pals! This is just the ticket. Our chicks get together throughout the year for cocktails, dinner and a movie. Who’s a chick? Any adult gal who wishes to join us. Our chicks range from their 20’s to their 80’s! So grab your best gal pals and spend the evening with us. Israeli Dance: GET ON YOUR FEET!:

Instructor Paul Kalmar invites everyone, novices to the more experienced, to enjoy the music and movement. Experience new and modern Israeli dance incorporating Middle Eastern, latin, Swing, and Hip Hop, as well as line and partner dance. it’s not the same old Hora anymore! Take a look at what’s in store…
TIS Presents: Special Opportunities for Local Performing and Visual Arts
Our goal is to provide unique programming, discounted tickets or other benefits to members and friends with an enduring interest in local cultural events. Concerts, plays, Opera and museum exhibits have been part of our repertoire. Look for announcements of upcoming events on our website, in The Shofar, and in the Programming E-Newsletter.

Ongoing weekly programs are open to TIS members and the community-at-large. Due to the nature of these programs and our own holiday schedules, it’s always a good idea to call the office just to ensure there is no change in any given activity’s schedule.
TIS: Stay Healthy
TIS is happy to host several healthy opportunities, open to TIS members and the community at-large. The exercise, yoga and dance groups are fun, low impact and offer a “no more excuses” prospect to better health. These programs include:
Feeling Fit Club
Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 – 9:30 a.m., free of charge.
Are you 60+ and want to stay independent? Never exercised? – No problem!
Improve your balance, strength, flexibility and have FUN. All levels are welcome!

Silver Sneakers Yoga with Jackie Gadd
Wednesday, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., free of charge.
Yoga is a great way to reduce stress, increase endurance and feel better overall. Even better, participating in yoga can help you: Burn calories, increase core strength, improve your posture, improve balance.
Silver Sneakers membership is not required.
Caregivers Support Group
Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. and free of charge.
Taking care of a loved one can be rewarding, loving and trying… all at the same time. This support group offers participants a safe place to share the challenges that one faces when caring for a friend or loved one. This is a place where one can feel supported and understood. Sometimes there’s laughter, sometimes there are tears, but the camaraderie is constant.
Line Dancing for Fun and Health
Wednesday, 2:20 – 4:00 p.m., $5 fee.
